"Our Daily Bread" is a comprehensive Eastern Orthodox prayer book in the Carpatho-Rusyn tradition, compiled by our parish's longtime pastor, Very Rev. Protopresbyter Joseph Mihaly, in 1938. It was the first prayer book of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese.

This verbatim reprint also includes a new introduction from Fr. Joseph Mihaly's great-grandson, Fr. Nicholas Mihaly.

There are a wide variety of private prayers for morning and evening; in preparation for Holy Confession and Holy Communion; for thanksgiving after Holy Confession and Holy Communion; for family and friends; for before and after meals; in time of need; and many more.

There is a special section of meditations during Holy Week and a child's manual of prayer in simpler language, suitable for adults too.

Also included are the complete texts of church services, including Vespers, Matins, the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and the Panachida service for the dead.

Over 650 pages, the prayer book has English and Slavonic (in Latin letters) in parallel on facing pages.

For portability, it is printed on Bible paper with a durable sewn binding and flexible cover.
